yum!
I currently work as a producer and director on the Yahoo! finance show Financially Fit. I have a BA in History from Rutgers University, where I also studied vocal arts at Mason Gross. After college, I focused on acting – didn’t see that coming, did you? - and after a short stint in New York, I moved to London to attend the graduate program at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA).
After LAMDA, I got an agent in New York who, unbeknownst to me, was terrible and ended up submitting me exclusively for touring children’s theater productions of Aladdin, which is not exactly me. I also hated, and still hate, auditioning, which is hard when you want to be an actor, since all we do is audition.
Unlike other (better) actors, I couldn’t just suck it up, so I decided to switch gears (again) and began training as a shooter and editor for digital video and film. I was also fortunate enough during this period to assistant-direct several well-produced theater productions including “The Last of Mrs. Lincoln,” “Hamlet,” and Neil LaBute’s “Some Girls” (Off-Broadway).
Since I’ve started editing and, more recently, directing, I’ve worked on everything from sketch comedy to financial news. Two years ago and against all my wannabe-hippy ideals, I decided that eating and paying bills and debts was important, so I accepted a full-time employment offer from a multi-billion dollar corporation. But it was Yahoo, so it was still sort-of ok. This allowed me to get married, which I did on 10/10/10 – a date arranged by Rachel so I would only have to remember one number on my anniversary.
I have long aspired to be an aspiring TV and film writer, and I’ve decided to make my aspiring aspirations official by enrolling in the TV Writer’s Studio at Long Island University to get an MFA. It is directed by Stephen Molton, a talented writer, brilliant man, and all-around nice guy. The program was created by Norman Steinberg, who wrote Blazing Saddles. I really like saying that.
I am religiously involved with mountains and climbing. I also love travel, photography, and any combination of the above. I reside in Brooklyn with my super-hot and supportive wife:

So...beautiful....
Also, God probably doesn’t exist, but the Earth does. Why not focus on the real?
